Puentes de Salud

By 2000, census data officially recognized Latinos as the largest minority group in the United states. Today Latino communities continue to grow, as evidenced in South Philadelphia, where the number of Latino immigrants has risen from 6,220 in 2000 to an estimated 30,000.   Puentes de Salud works to ensure the health and wellness of South Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latino immigrant community and educates future generations of community advocates, health care providers, educators.  The organization strives to give opportunities for responsible and respectful community engagement.
